CBSE READING CHALLENGE

It is well accepted that Reading literacy is not only a foundation for achievement in other subject areas within the educational system but also a prerequisite for successful participation in most areas of adult life. With a same focus on promoting reading literacy among the learners as CBSE has guided Our school also organised a reading challenge.
Round One/First stage
60 students from classes 8th, 9th and 10th participated in round one reading challenge test on 24th Jan 2020. Best six students (2 from each class )were selected on the basis of speed and accuracy and were registered for round two.
Round Two /Second stage
A 45 minutes long computer-based reading test was conducted by the board for the registered students of Panchkula Region on 11 February 2020 from 10:30 to 11:15 hours comprising of six passages of 5 marks each . Six students Shweta -class 10, Apaar - class 10 , Novesh- class 9, Ipsita - class 9, Kakul-class 8, Rakshita- class 8 (two each from classes VIII, IX and X ) appeared for the second round of the challenge.
